Why I’ll Never Forget The Breakfast Club

Today when I went into work I found Pastor had left me an article from the Chicago Tribune on a movie that defined my generation- that is Generation X.  Its the 3010993471_10202828550949443_5730713093598669111_nth anniversary of the movie this year and apparently they will be re-releasing it on the big screen.  As I read the article I had tears in my eyes and that forever immortalized song “Don’t You Forget About Me” in my head.  No, I won’t ever forget; the movie, The Breakfast Club, or John Hughes the writer and director, or anything about that movie.  It was so close to home for me, in so many ways.

Remind Me To Stay Motiviated

Okay so I’m going about my day and then BAMM! Something hits me so hard I have to pause and stop and celebrate. Here’s what it is:

WOO HOO! So excited for this movie. So I had to share this old post on such an occasion.  The occasion being finally the redemption of Sarah Connor (I think that should be its subtitle!!). If I didn’t mention it, I’m a movie freak.. in particular Sci-fi.  This series is one of my all time favorites.. and Arnold is back, again!! Its a dream come true for this little geek blogger… thanks for your patronization, I’ll take it!

This woman, Sarah Connor (the character) from Terminator II was what inspired me to get in shape years ago after I had my kids.

The Day After – Thoughts on the Death of a National Treasure

Its been one day since Robin Williams killed himself.

For someone who passionately and whole-heatedly believes in encouragement and inspiration, and has been “preaching” about the emotional well-being being a KEY ingredient to being the best you can be…  I am emotionally rocked.  I stand stripped bare, raw, hurt and angry.  Angry that he was hurting so much.  Hurt that he couldn’t be helped, that he felt such despair.  Raw because he was a such positive light in this dark world and stripped bare because I must reveal what I don’t think I’ve ever said aloud on this blog before:

I Love New York in June… How About You?

Wow.  Tonight I found out that one of the happiest, most interesting men I ever (but really never) knew died.  Not only that he died, and he was way too young, but that he might of ended his life.  <HUGE SIGH>  You know, I grew up with Robin Williams starting as Mork, from Ork.  I was a 70’s tv kid and Robin came and just took over.  His movies were the funniest.. he just kept blowing us away.  There were so many movies… really different, odd movies with him, and some I didn’t even see until I got older.

But here are my top Five (5)– in Honor, and In Memory.
