Okay so I’m going about my day and then BAMM! Something hits me so hard I have to pause and stop and celebrate. Here’s what it is:
WOO HOO! So excited for this movie. So I had to share this old post on such an occasion. The occasion being finally the redemption of Sarah Connor (I think that should be its subtitle!!). If I didn’t mention it, I’m a movie freak.. in particular Sci-fi. This series is one of my all time favorites.. and Arnold is back, again!! Its a dream come true for this little geek blogger… thanks for your patronization, I’ll take it!
(Original postdate 8/11/2012. Not much has changed and a lot has changed. Enjoy!)
This woman, Sarah Connor (the character) from Terminator II was what inspired me to get in shape years ago after I had my kids.

Love to dance and so does she!
So its crystal clear to all of you… my life is far from perfect. I’ve only “begun” to live my best life. Constantly still making mistakes, even now, but learning and growing can’t happen without them. There are problems, lots of them. Some within control, and some – not somuch. But what I CAN control how I let those things affect me. Can you tell this girls’ been through the ringer, let down unbelievably bad by someone she truly believed in (yes today!), and really, completely feel clueless? Ha, well its true. Ya, even though still kinda devastatedly shocked, I’ve still got love in my life and damn it I’m gonna live. Everything isn’t exactly where it should be yet, but still going in the right direction.
****WARNING.. may contain spoilers. If you have not seen this movie by now, consider yourself lucky you found my review. I’ll save you an hour and a half you’ll never get back — HUGE EARTH, stunning visuals and all***** Continue reading
There’s something to be said for Karma. I’m pretty broke, but one day not long ago a good friend gave me this digital TV. It’s my very first.
Tonight I finally found time and hooked it to my computer. (Been kinda busy lol). I have no cable and borrowed on luck internet, so shows limited to little laptop. Now just need a longer HDMI.
I must say as a typical 70’s TV kid it’s a brain disconnect moment connecting a tv to a computer.
Hey.. you had nothing else to do on a Friday night! 😉
Cheers to the crazy but BRAVE. May we rein! Anyone can be crazy, but owning it, loving it and doing right with it is a special crazy. Standing up for yourself, your needs, and not taking anything less. That’s a freedom you’ll never look back on. Being you and not letting anything stop it – its about your happiness. Everything else falls into place. Not everyone will like you, but the most important one will. That’s you… hello! If you are not living for the real thing, loving life for what it really is.. then you are really the crazy one. Get on board.. and love the crazy dork.. if you are lucky enough to be one.
I hope everyone is having a great summer so far! Someone once said to me.. “after the 4th of July, its like summer is over”.…IDTS! I hate that phrase, because HELLO still 2 months left! To me, Its just begun, and I must say during the first month and a half, I’ve spent more time with friends and grandbaby doing so many fun, social and crazy things I’d of had a jam packed summer if it was over now. (Thank God its not!) I am so grateful and blessed to have these people… but there have been other things, missing my love, family ill, being a rock for my friends when I feel like sand… weighing me down still and keeping me in bad habits and not running… and I have a marathon to train for. (10/12/14, let the countdown begin)
Hello all, I am back and hopefully getting back on track. Where have I been? Well, my nice, simple life got a little less simple since I last posted, and I’ve had to do some major readjusting. Finally I think I’m getting the hang of it. You see, it all started when I went to this festival “Retro on Roscoe” with my friends Maria and Jenna and their guys.
Here is me and a few of the sites I saw at one of the many wonderful festivals Chicago’s neighborhoods put on during the summer:
